Real renders from this site, with the exact prompt. Use one as a starting point.

  • “Shot 1: close-up of an old lighthouse keeper in a wet oilskin coat climbing a spiral iron staircase, a swinging lantern lighting his face, rain hammering the windows. Shot 2: wide shot from the sea as the lighthouse beam sweeps across huge storm waves crashing on the rocks, lightning splits the sky. Rolling thunder and howling wind”

Seedance 2.5 vs Seedance 2.0

ByteDance Seed launched it on July 31, 2026, about five months after Seedance 2.0. The headline change is length: one generation runs up to 30 seconds instead of 15, organised as several connected shots, so a story can have a setup, a turn and an ending in a single clip.

On Seedance AI, 2.5 takes the same inputs as 2.0 — a prompt, a first and last frame, or reference images, clips and audio — at 480P, 720P or 1080P. It costs more per second than 2.0, so use 2.0 or 2.0 Fast for short clips and 2.5 when you need the extra length.

Where the extra length pays off: a product ad that shows the problem, the product and the result; a short scene with a few lines of dialogue and a reaction; a music clip that moves through several places. Write the prompt as timed beats — "0–10 s: …, 10–20 s: …, 20–30 s: …" — and repeat what must carry over between shots, such as the character's face, outfit and light.

Longer clips take longer to render and the price grows with every second, so draft the story at 480P first and render the final at 720P or 1080P once the beats work. ByteDance also lists editing and extending existing videos for the model; on this site you generate new clips, priced per second on the button before you generate, and failed renders are refunded.
